Ingredients
- 128oz whole peeled tomatoes (I get it from Costco)
- 6oz tomato paste
- 3tbsp of sugar
- 1 medium onion
- Minced garlic (I use 3tbsp from a jar)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian Seasonings
Directions
In a crock pot or stock pot, pour the can of whole peeled tomatoes. Sautee the onion until brown and tender. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and italian seasonings to taste. Let cook uncovered for 4 hours for flavors to deepen. Use an immersion blender to puree until smooth to your liking.
This makes 4-5 containers for freezing. I leave this basic so it can be dressed up depending on what I need it for.
