Adeles Peach Cobbler

This is a SECRET family recipe so … you guys are WELCOME (clearly not a well guarded secret)!! It's simply the best.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cup fruit

Instructions

Melt butter in 9x13 inch pan. Pour this mixture (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk) over melted butter in baking dish - do not mix.

Mix fruit (drained if canned fruit is used) with additional sugar (if desired, I don't usually add a little extra sugar to make them juicy and sweet.) I use fresh peaches that I have frozen usually. Fresh peaches are the best. Cut down on sugar if canned fruit is used. Arrange over batter in the pan. Pour one cup of fruit juice or use water if there is not enough juice over fruit. Sprinkle dash of cinnamon over all - do not stir. NEVER STIR.

Bake at 350 for 60 minutes. Server with Vanilla Ice Cream on top … because you have to!!

This would also be amazing with other fruit to make your own specialized fruit cobbler... perhaps... MIXED BERRIES? Enjoy!
